I wanted to draw a romantic picture with these two, simply because they are:
*Both past 35 years old
*Not newlyweds or dating teenagers or 'friends with benefits' or mortal enemies or anything else of the sort.
*Very adult in their relationship
and finally:
*I've never seen a couple in any sort of RPG be so completely devoted to each other so quickly, despite the plans of their creators. And to explain what I mean:
Professor Nicolaus Birch wasn't supposed to be anything more than a small supporting character, and neither was Professor Nora (~Wursu's character by the way). Then we decided some of the support characters should have some sort of relationships, and so we married Nicolaus to Nora and voila! A couple!
Short thereafter, we wanted to have two characters outside of the immediate main cast to have a chat about the main characters really, and decided that the professors Birch would do fine. The professors Birch were happy about this, but not as happy as they are about each other. Instead of focusing on the chit-chat about the main characters, they decided we should focus on their relationship. And we did. And somehow, they made down to earth love extremely interesting bordering on downright beautiful. So here they are.

<sub>This sketch(yes this is a sketch) was drawn in photoshop on top of a sketch I drew on paper from a little scribbling I had done on another paper. For the initial scribbling (2x3cm) I used a photograph for a reference photo, and I think the pose is very similar to that one. I don't remember where I found the photo, though, and I'm sorry about that. Here, as a consolation prize, is the sketch (not the scribbling). The white line comes from the fact that I scanned it in two pieces. It's somewhat larger than A4 in size.
